9. Awareness / Live in Present

Be Aware. Be present.

I read the following lines in a book:

Whenever you realize that you have gone to the past or into the future, don't create a problem out of it. Simply come back to the present. Simply bring back your awareness.

The only transformation possible is one's own. But that can be considered only when we feel that we are responsible. (pg. 150)

Awareness means you live moment to moment, alert, conscious of yourself and conscious of all that is happening around you in a moment-to-moment response. (pg. 151)

The only place where true change can occur and where the past can be dissolved is the Now. (pg. 60)

Presence is the key to freedom, so you can only be free now. (pg. 62)

Do not give all your attention away to the mind and the external world. By all means focus on what you are doing, but feel the inner body at the same time whenever possible. Stay rooted within. Then observe how this changes your state of consciousness and the quality of what you are doing. (pg. 117)

Inhabiting the body protects you by raising the frequency vibration of your total energy field. (pg. 124)

8. Knowing when to stop

Know when to stop.
Its essential.

I read the following lines in a book:
If the chase is wearing out out health, stop!
If the chase is wreaking havoc on your relationships, stop!
If the chase is keeping you from enjoying your life, stop!

(This is the eighth of the most important lessons I have learned so far.)

7. Letting go

Let go of what does not serve your highest good.

Life goes on.
You go on.

I read the following in articles:
- Happiness is a choice. Be good to yourself.
- To "let go" is to fear less and love myself more.
- Listen to your body. Oftentimes, we ignore those signals and choose to follow what everybody else is telling us to do instead.
- "Criticism is something you can easily avoid by saying nothing, doing nothing, being nothing." ~Aristotle
- What if we let go of our conditions, and just loved and accepted ourselves and others exactly the way we and they are right now?
- Focus inward. It’s important to make a difference in the world. Yes, it’s important to help people, but you have to start with yourself.
- The human spirit has the capacity to overcome almost anything. When we let go of the thought that we can’t heal from something that has deeply wounded us, we open ourselves up to the growth potential this event holds. It might take a lot of time, help from professionals, and deep soulful work on our part. But healing from these types of wounds can be the most transformative and powerful things we do in our lives.
- Letting Go Is a Work in Progress. What do you do when you’re really looking forward to your morning cup of joy and realize you’re out of coffee? Or when a friend cancels a date that you’ve been looking forward to?
- Learning to let go of the things that are not serving you will free up energy and resources and you will begin to reap the benefits of a grateful, joyful life.
- "When you live in harmony with the enduring part of yourself, it will contribute to an overall sense of being indestructible." ~Verse 55
