My Three Life Lessons & Daily Practices

1. FAITH

When we put God first, all other things fall into their proper place.

When God closes one door in our lives, He opens another.

Until God opens the next door, praise Him in the hallway.

God will have the last word, and it will be good.

2. BOUNDARIES

Healthy boundaries are like a fence around your house to keep you safe.

When you feel yourself becoming angry, resentful, or exhausted, pay attention to where you haven't set a healthy boundary.

Boundaries are not built in a vacuum; creating boundaries always involves a support network.

Daring to set boundaries is about having the courage to love ourselves, even when we risk disappointing others.

Consequences give some good barbs to fences. They let people know the seriousness of the trespass and the seriousness of our respect for ourselves.

If you want more time, freedom, and energy, start saying no.

Setting boundaries is an excellent act of self-care.

Boundaries are a function of self-respect and self-love.

3. SELF-COMPASSION

Self-Compassion has three elements: self-kindness, common humanity, and mindfulness.

A moment of self-compassion can change your entire day. A string of such moments can change the course of your life.

Love is the great miracle cure. Loving ourselves works miracles in our lives.

Unlike self-criticism which asks if I'm good enough, self-compassion asks what's good for me?

Worthiness doesn't have prerequisites.

Put your oxygen mask on first, before you attend to anyone else around you.
